No Borders (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Stormax Film AB (org. no. 559221-5874), FE 160, 105 69 Stockholm, Sweden. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
You can play No Borders as a guest without an account. We only process personal data once you choose to sign in.
localStorage): your best score and which challenges you have recently seen. This never leaves your
device and is not sent to us.We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use only essential browser storage required to run the game (your guest progress) and to keep you signed in. No consent banner is required for strictly necessary storage; we do not share this data for advertising. We host our web fonts ourselves rather than loading them from a third party.
Running the game does require contacting a few essential service providers in your browser. In particular, loading the interactive 3D map streams map data from Google Maps Platform, and our backend requests reach Supabase and Cloudflare. These requests necessarily transmit technical data such as your IP address to those providers, which is required to deliver the game you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b)) and to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f)). The providers we use are listed in section 4.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified) and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, under data processing agreements we hold with each provider.
If you buy the optional one-time unlock, payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy or Gumroad as Merchant of Record, depending on the checkout option you use. Your payment details are handled by them under their own privacy policies; we only receive your email and confirmation of your purchase status so we can grant your unlock.
Account and gameplay data is kept for as long as your account exists. Transient run data is deleted automatically within days. IP-hash rate-limit records are deleted within minutes. Bug-report diagnostics are kept only as long as we need them to investigate the issue and are then deleted. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (section 7).
One exception applies: where you have made a purchase, we (and our Merchant of Record) must retain the related order and accounting records for the period required by law, which under Swedish bookkeeping rules is seven years. These records are kept only for that legal obligation and are not used for any other purpose.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests, including the right to export your data. To exercise any of these, or to delete your account, email team@noborders.gg. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Sweden this is the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
No Borders is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the game.
